After an incredibly successful Probellum 1 in March, the long awaited return of Probellum is
finally on the cards. Due to issues out of our control the original date planned (August 1st) is no
longer a viable option. Since being informed August wasn’t possible we put all of our efforts into
confirming a date at the earliest opportunity and that had landed on September 5th 2020.
With the potential return of fans for the event, Probellum 2 is set to be a great night and the
perfect return to the octagon for all. The event will be streamed LIVE on PPV hosted by MMA
TV at a cost of £9.99. We have some exciting fights already lined up for the night with further
fight announcements imminent.
Details of confirmed fights to this date are as follows:
Welterweight bout – Justin Burlinson v Konrad Iwanoski
A fight not to be missed! This fight was first scheduled for 2018 during their time at a different
promotion and the heat has been intensifying between these two ever since. Fighting out of TFTMMA
and NEBJJ, Justin Burlinson will be looking to keep his unbeaten streak of 5-0 alive against Konrad
Iwanoski. With a 100% finish rate and only one fight making it past the first round, Burlinson will be
looking to end this one early and is definitely one to keep an eye on at Probellum 2.
Flyweight bout – Bryan Creighton v Ryan Curtis
Potential fight of the night? We think so! Bryan Creighton and Ryan Curtis go head to head on our
Probellum 2 fight card. With both of these fighters denying the idea of taking a step back, this fight is set
to excite all who witness it. Creighton is coming into this with a plethora of experience with 18 fights
under his belt and an impressive 10 wins with 8 stoppages. Coming off the back of a win via submission
at Probellum 1, he will be looking to keep to his winning ways and pick up where he left off. Creighton
faces Ryan ‘chaos’ Curtis fighting out of SBG under Owen Roddy, so he should have no issues finding
some worthy training partners! With a solid 5-2 record, he’ll be looking to bounce back from his recent
defeat and get back on track at Probellum 2 with a win over Creighton. Definitely not one to miss!
Light heavyweight bout – Matty Byfield v David Sweeney
Another unbeaten prospect in the form of Matty Byfield will be gracing the Probellum octagon to face
off against David Sweeney. A record of 2-0 sees Byfield finishing both of his previous fights within the
first round making him a very interesting new face. Training out of Renegade in Birmingham alongside
the likes of Fabian and Leon Edwards ensures the swift progress of Byfield to not only be expected, but
extremely exciting to keep up with.
Middleweight bout – Will Currie v Tony Morgan
Another exciting bout comes in the form of Will Currie facing off against Tony Morgan. Currie (managed
by Jimi Manuwa) is currently sporting a 4-0 record with all of them being stopped within the first round!
A well rounded fighter with talents lying in many fields, he is the epitome of the ‘new age’ fighter and
will be looking to keep his unbeaten form alive against his tough challenger Tony Morgan.
With a whole host of exhilarating and interesting fights already lined up, we at Probellum
have been working as hard as possible to make Probellum 2 a night to remember and the
perfect sequel to an amazing night back in March. From all of us here, we hope you are safe
and well during these uncertain times and look forward to welcoming you back to the
Probellum arena once again on September 5th.
